Mailsort® 70
A pre-sorted service launched on 27th September 2010 that will offer lower prices for UK mailings of over 20,000 letters that are either OCR or CBC readable, and presented in trays.
Key Features
- Will be sorted just 85 selections
- Is a tray only product
- Only supports the letter mail format
- Letter format items only: Envelope size: maximum C5 Plus (240mm x 165mm), minimum 140mm x 90mm Maximum item thickness 5mm, minimum 0.25mm
- Caters for items up to 100gms in weight
- Mail posted as either OCR or CBC readable
- Free collection service
- Free returns of undeliverable items
- You can choose from three delivery speed for your outward mailing:Mailsort 1, 1st Class – delivery next working dayMailsort 2, 2nd Class – delivery within three working daysMailsort 3, Economy – delivery within 7 working days
Product Instructions
To use Mailsort 70 you must have accurate Postcodes and addresses on at least 90% of the mailing. All items in the mailing must be faced in the same direction and sorted according to the current Mailsort Database, into trays.
Customers must either purchase or write a software program to sort the mailing.
You must produce a Computer Planning Report and Line Listing (both generated by Mailsort sorting software).
You must complete an OBA (online Business Account) order or a posting cheque which must be handed over with your mailing.
Customers must apply machine-readable barcodes (CBC’s) or have an OCR readable address and sort their mailings to approximately 70 selections within the Mailsort Database.
Mailsort® 120
A service offering lower prices for UK mailings of over 4000 letters on any given day, either OCR readable or customer barcoded, and pre-sorted by the customer.

- Mailsort 120 only supports the follow mail formats: Letters
- Letter format items only: Envelope size: maximum C5 Plus (240mm x 165mm), minimum 140mm x 90mm Maximum item thickness 5mm, minimum 0.25mm
- Caters for items up to 100gms in weight

Customers must apply machine-readable barcodes (CBC’s) with the address, and sort their mailings to approximately 750 selections within the Mailsort Database.
Mailsort® 1400
A sorted service offering lower prices for UK mailings of at least 4000 letters or 1000 large letters, A3 packets and packets (or 2,000 letters if all the letters are for delivery within the same Postcode area in which they were posted), pre-sorted by the customer.

- Caters for items up to 2kgs in weight
